I have never really enjoyed climbing snow too much, but I feel guilty if I don't at least every once and awhile. Thankfully I ended up coordinating with Erica, whom I met on 14ers.com to get an early morning jaunt up Torreys. The snow ended up being quite good for cramponing and we summited with plenty of time to head over to Grays as well. It was a pleasure to have the mountains essentially to ourselves as the summer hoardes have been held back by the lingering snow.
Why is it called Dead Dog?
