Mount Lady MacDonald
June 8, 2008
Hoping that the snow was melting with all the hot weather we'd been getting in Calgary, we set out for Mount Lady Mac. There was a grizzly closure at the trailhead but fortunately for us, the trail skirted the border and remained open. The clouds were down all day and the final knife-edge was retaining a bit of snow. Some prints started across but nobody had completed the ridge. The final dip to the summit was pretty intense as it held a fair amount of snow. I summited and hurried back as it started graupelling on the knife-edge. When we were almost back across my zippers started to buzz and we ran back down the slope to the tea house.
