Front Porch via East Face Center (5.0)
Lost Porch via East Face (5.0)

We met lazily at Cafe Sole and set out to climb the Seal. The East Face North Side was covered in large patches of snow so we opted for the slightly harder left side. Glen began upward but the lichen was wet and the rock slick making for dangerous slab climbing up the runout slab. He wisely climbed back down and we hiked out and over to Porch Alley. Front Porch came into view and we soloed up the nicely featured East Face Center. Solid rock led us promptly to the summit and the afternoon light gave Skunk Canyon a glorious appearance. We slung the tree and rappelled west and tromped over to Lost Porch. Instead of going to the low-point, we made straight up the east face. The climbing was surprisingly pleasant and we took opposite ridges to the top. Back Porch loomed ahead and Satan's Slab loomed to the north. The down climb proved the most difficult part of the climb, Glen west straight west and I down-climbed the northern summit ridge. The hike out was muddy, but the forest felt fresh from the recent moisture. These formations are well worth the trip.
